Development Project Aloë Lane
In 2025, all six residences within the new development project Aloë Lane were sold through Wigbold Real Estate. This small-scale residential development is located in the Kwartje neighborhood on Curaçao and is being realized by Unlimited Development Caribbean. Since construction commenced in the spring, steady and visible progress has been made. As Aloë Lane now enters the next phase of development and the structural shell of all residences has taken shape, we provide an overview of the project’s progression.
Commencement of Construction at Aloë Lane
Construction officially commenced in April. During this initial phase, the focus was on site preparation and the execution of the foundations. The building plots were set out, the subsoil was compacted, and the foundation slabs were poured. In addition, all underground infrastructure, including sewerage and electrical utilities, was installed. These works formed the technical foundation for the subsequent construction phases.
In parallel with the construction activities, the notarial processes for the transfer of the plots were initiated, marking an important administrative step toward ownership transfer to the future residents.
Foundation and Structural Phase
In the months that followed, the project progressed into the foundation and structural construction phase. All foundations and structural concrete floors were completed, and the first load-bearing walls were erected, making the development clearly visible above ground. At the same time, the organizational framework was further established. The Homeowners Association (HOA) was formally incorporated, its board appointed, and architectural and design guidelines were finalized to safeguard the spatial and architectural coherence of Aloë Lane.
Visible Construction Progress in 2025
Following a brief summer pause, construction activities resumed in early October. Since then, progress on site has been clearly noticeable. The walls of several residences have been constructed up to ring beam level, and the boundary walls have been permanently positioned. During this period, the first residents moved into the existing and fully renovated detached home within the project, giving Aloë Lane its initial residential character.
Further milestones were achieved in November and December. The walls of all six residences have now been completed, and works have commenced on the installation and pouring of the reinforced concrete ring beams. For several homes, preparations have been made for the roof structures and the concrete ceiling elements, into which the technical installations are being integrated. At this stage, Aloë Lane is firmly within the structural construction phase.
Residential Typologies within Aloë Lane
Aloë Lane comprises two detached residences and four modern semi-detached homes, situated within a secure and well-defined residential setting. All homes are designed on a single level and feature functional layouts with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Each residence also includes a private outdoor area with a terrace. The project layout offers a balanced combination of comfort, privacy, and a small-scale residential character within the Kwartje neighborhood.
